Job Summary

The Opportunity:

Join our Therapy and Behaviour Support team across Samaritans and Anglican Care to deliver evidence-based behavioural assessment intervention and behaviour support plans for people across the lifespan. Youll focus on building the skills and capacity of individuals families and support networks to promote inclusion and quality of life. Working within NDIS and child-safe standards youll be part of a positive collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality care and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Degree in Social Work Social Welfare Psychology or Behavioural Science

  • Minimum 2 years experience working within the NDIS sector and current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient) under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

  • Demonstrated capacity to implement the principles and processes related to positive behavioursupport trauma informed care and person-centred support.

  • Understanding of the current trends and approaches underpinning positive behaviour support

  • Demonstrated experience prioritising workloads and managing clients with complex needs

  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development Evidenced Based Practice and measuring clinical outcomes

  • Ability to work as a collaboratively member of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities.
