JOB POSTING JOB TITLE:Sales Representative (Customer Service) DEPARTMENT: Sales/Contracts REPORTS TO: Sales Director/ VP Marketing PURPOSE OF POSITION: The customer service representative serves as the first contact between the customer and the company setting the tone of the conversation and experience immediately. The customer service representative provides prompt courteous professional assistance through phone and email correspondence. Detailed logs of every interaction are maintained to ensure information quality and to track trends and communicated to upper management for product and process improvement. The customer service representative works with many individuals and departments within the company to resolve customer issues according to work instructions and ISO compliance. As needed directly enters orders utilizing the company order entry process and software. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in customer service and database administration is preferred. Familiarity with general concepts of manufacturing industry with emphasis in customer service or general office administration including order entry and customer follow-up. Strong background in Microsoft office and various database systems. Supply chain management experience highly desired. Must be comfortable in a firearms manufacturing facility. DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: - Answers customer calls and routes to appropriate sales staff for action. Answers customer inquiries of a routine nature.
- Processed Return Material Authorizations for the company. Follows process through completion and return to the customer.
- Monitors order progression of assigned orders from award to customer delivery.
- Department database administrator primary point of contact for all inputs into the sales order system.
- Responds to customers in timely and professional manner. Demonstrates discretion courtesy and tact in all interactions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs assigned tasks in a timely manner to expected standard seeking assistance when needed.
