What were looking for in a Behavior Technician I and Behavior Technician II
To thrive as a Behavior Technician at Hills & Dales Child Development Center youll need a blend of essential skills and attributes that will empower you to make a lasting impact. For Behavior Technician I while a degree isnt required you must be committed to passing the certification and capable of becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within one year of hire. Behavior Technician II candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree and also pass the certification. A strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams including families medical professionals and educators is crucial for success.
Additionally you should be physically capable of lifting or moving items weighing up to 35lbs and possess a valid drivers license along with proof of vehicle insurance. Your resourcefulness and accountability in this role will significantly contribute to the supportive environment we strive to maintain at Hills & Dales.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Behavior Tech I does not need degree but must pass certification.
- Behavior Tech II DOES require degree and must pass certification.
- Ability to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within one year of hire by passing the certification exam offered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA)
- Ability to lift or move items up to 35lbs
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license
- Must provide proof of valid vehicle insurance
