Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse ensuring that staff are effectively trained perform their tasks safely and meet productivity goals. They supervise team members monitor performance resolve issues and maintain a positive efficient and safe work environment to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide daily guidance to the warehouse team ensuring clarity of daily tasks and priorities.
Foster exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with customers branches and employees.
Work to resolve issues and errors positively to maintain smooth operations.
Conduct daily team meetings to ensure team members are clear on overall and daily priorities.
Conduct and/or ensure daily safety inspections are completed and actions items are resolved.
Enforce company policies and procedures consistently and fairly maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure employees are receiving proper training to maximize their effectiveness in their roles.
Address employee concerns and provide coaching as needed.
Work with other Warehouse Supervisors to identify and address performance gaps.
Collaborate with Fleet & Delivery team to ensure trucks are loaded safely and securely.
Monitor employee tasks such as picking/put-away to ensure efficiency and safety.
Provide immediate coaching to correct errors in picking/receiving tasks.
Review performance reports to ensure the picking process is operating efficiently with no errors to customers and branches.
Ensure the receiving team is handling incoming products effectively.
Performs as the top safety advocate for the branch.
Ensures safety policies and procedures are followed.
Review all inspection forms and communicates any issues.
Suggests operational improvements related to safety.
Immediately corrects unsafe conditions in the warehouse.
Immediately reports safety accidents injuries and incidence. Assists with the collection of safety data for accurate report completion
Safety Sensitive Position: the ability to perform job functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Maintains proficiency with company computer systems in aspects related to job such as data entry messaging call logs data notations queue updates batching or other job & office functions and requirements.

Qualifications
High School diploma or its GED equivalent
3 or more years experience with warehousing supply chain and related functions.
1 or more years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Knowledge and execution of a quality system (ISO preferred) LEAN and Six Sigma principals.
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Proficient in using office technology including computers photocopiers scanners phone systems and virtual meeting platforms as required for daily responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position may require up to 4043 hours per week and involves regular physical activity including:
Frequent lifting of 2550 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
Operating forklifts and material handling equipment for up to 6 hours daily.
Regular bending climbing squatting kneeling and reaching.
Pushing/pulling objects up to 300 lbs. occasionally.
Prolonged use of hands arms and feet for equipment operation.
Periods of sitting standing walking and twisting throughout the shift.
Visual requirements include close distance color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
