Job Description
We are looking for a proactive People Operations Generalist to join our People Operations team in Brno that supports 800 international staff based in Brno and Prague.
This is more than an operational role - we are seeking someone who can be a right hand to the People Operations Team Lead helping to spot process gap and suggest improvements while also managing day to day administration.
You need to be a self-starter who enjoys autonomy can challenge processes constructively and requires minimal guidance. Fluency in Czech and English as well as basic knowledge of the Czech Labour Code is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within a global organization. While your primary focus will be to support our staff based in the Czech Republic you will be also a member of a wider EMEA People Operations team with the potential to support other countries.
In addition to day-to-day People Operations administration you will:
Support the People Operations Team Lead and team by providing input on processes and highlighting opportunities where things could run more smoothly.
Assist employees with their inquiries and work closely with stakeholders (managers payroll recruiters HRIS global mobility) to help ensure HR processes run effectively throughout the employee lifecycle.
Specifically your operational responsibilities will include:
New Joiner Administration: Draft and issue offer letters and contracts; work with new hires and FNZ external provider to ensure pre-employment screenings are done in time for onboarding; run induction sessions; deal with new hires follow-up questions.
Employee Support: Deal with wide-ranging HR queries using People Portal our ticketing system while ensuring compliance with FNZ policies and Czech labour code.
HR Document Management: Maintain accurate employee records in Workday including updates for new hires internal moves leavers or contractual changes this is important as we are audited.
Benefits Administration: Manage benefits for joiners and leavers and liaise with external suppliers to resolve issues.
Payroll Support: Time attendance corrections and closures audit of joiner and leaver documents.
Leaver Administration: Managing leavers process system access closure and administer exit documents.
Visa: Work with FNZ external provider to ensure legal employment of foreign nationals.
HR Systems & Tools: Work with HRIS and assist with system issues (Workday and People Portal) maintain HR intranet pages and ensure up-to-date information.
Ad-Hoc Projects & Reporting: Prepare HR reports support implementation of HR initiatives and projects and contribute to process improvements.
Familiarity with Czech labour law and experience with the employment of foreign nationals needed.
Confident with well-developed written and verbal communication skills in Czech and English.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in People operations preferably in an international corporate environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
High attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HR system Workday is a plus.
