Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager Laboratory Services you will be responsible for ensuring high quality patient focused care through accurate and timely laboratory analysis.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Must be currently licensed in accordance with the College of Medical Laboratory technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) to practice medical laboratory technology including Histology.
- Understands the principles and has the ability to perform analytical techniques on histology specimens using established protocols.
- Minimum of 3 years histology experience preferred.
- Grossing and Immunohistochemical experience an asset
- Personal attributes - self-starter who has the ability to work well with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced medical setting. Highly developed organization skills and the ability to multitask.
- Position requires repetitive motion lifting pulling pushing and standing for extended periods of time
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills with technologists and other professionals in the workplace.
