Join Our Team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative
Are you a highly skilled and experienced perioperative nurse ready to take the next step in your career Aegis Health Care is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative to join our dedicated team and help us deliver exceptional high-quality surgical this senior leadership role youll be a vital part of our Perioperative and CSSD team focusing on providing expert clinical support and education particularly within our Endoscopy Suite.

What Youll Do
As a senior clinical leader your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Expertise: Apply your advanced clinical judgment to provide expert evidence-based care in the Endoscopy Suite.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead daily operations manage staffing and guide junior nurses registered nurses and enrolled nurses. Youll be a mentor and a resource for problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Quality & Safety: Champion a culture of safety by implementing best-practice guidelines participating in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinate with surgeons anaesthetists and other support services to optimize workflow and ensure efficient resource management.
- Strategic Support: Assist the Procedural Services Manager with key management functions including recruitment performance reviews and professional development planning.
What Were Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN Registration: You must be a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Scrub/Scout nurse in a perioperative setting is required.
- Clinical Skills: Proven clinical competence and deep surgical knowledge with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
- Professionalism: A strong work ethic punctuality integrity and a commitment to professional standards.
- Proficiency: Excellent problem-solving organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Desirable Skills:
- Postgraduate Qualification: A postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (Scrub/Scout) Clinical Education or a related field would be a great asset.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership role or involvement in quality improvement initiatives is highly valued.
- Knowledge & Development: A keen interest in staying up-to-date with emerging trends in surgical practices technology and infection prevention.
Credentialing Requirements
- Current eligibility to work in Australia.
- Valid Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
- Successful identification check.
