Job Summary

Cover Supervisor 12.5 - 31.25 (2 - 5 days) hours per week 38 weeks per year.

Grade(will be pro-rata-ed depending on successful applicants availability)

Malbank School and Sixth Form College has a vacancy for a Cover Supervisor. This is a 2 - 5 days a week post we are willing to be flexible for the right applicant with regards to the number of days they work but the days will be the same each week (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.15pm).

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic colleague to complement the teaching staff and to cover occasional short term absences within the school.
With the guidance of teachers the successful applicant will supervise classes in carrying out the work they have been set and assist and motivate students in their learning.
You shouldbe educated to at least GCSE Level with a high level of literacy and numeracy skills.
You need to be an excellent communicator have sound organisational skills and be able to work confidently using your own initiative.
While previous experience is not essential the ability to motivate young people would be advantageous. The ideal candidate would have experience of working with young people either in a voluntary or employed capacity.
Prior knowledge of SIMS is advantageous but not essential.
