As an Early Childhood Teacher you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and providing them with a strong foundation for their future education. Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning activities
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment
- Document observations and complete pedagogical narrations
- Provide individualized guidance to support each childs needs
- Monitor and assess each childs development and progress
- Collaborate with families colleagues and communicate regularly about childrens progress.
- Excellent spoken and written English language a must
- Maintain a clean safe and organized classroom environment
Requirements:
- License to practice as an Early Childhood Educator and/or Infant and Toddler Educator
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Food Safe (Basic - Level 1)
- Clear Criminal Record Check from the Ministry of Justice
- 2-3 positive professional references
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach and open-ended play based learning
- Familiar with BCs Early Learning Framework ECEBCs Code of Ethics and ECPN
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom of young children
- Knowledgeable about childrens nutritional needs to educate about our Nutrition Program
