Job Description
Summary:
A well-established Electrical Contracting Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their Boca Raton team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment can take full ownership of the estimating process from start to finish and enjoys both the technical and people side of the business.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects including healthcare industrial higher education and heavy commercial.
* Perform full-cycle estimating: material take-offs bid packages budgets change orders and subcontractor/vendor pricing.
* Review and interpret drawings specifications and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Present bids and proposals to clients demonstrating both technical expertise and strong communication/sales skills.
* Provide leadership mentorship and training to junior estimators.
* Collaborate with project managers engineers and clients to deliver competitive and accurate proposals.
* Represent the company at preconstruction meetings and site visits.
Requirements:
* 5 years estimating large complex commercial electrical projects.
* Electrical contracting strongly preferred
* Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid LiveCount or similar
* Strong understanding of electrical systems NEC and local codes materials and specifications
* Bachelors degree in construction or a related field or equivalent experience. Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus.
* Excellent communication customer service and relationship-building skills
* Proven ability to sell proposals as well as calculate them.
