Job Summary
Position Summary
In larger or complex laboratory courses the Laboratory Preparation Teaching Assistant (TA3) helps the instructor and lab crew with preparation set-up restock and take-down/clean-up of laboratory classes. This also includes properly cleaning lab ware and returning to the designated storage areas in the lab lab prep areas or stockroom.
The course instructor is the direct supervisor and the person who makes the final hire decision. The schedule may vary as needed dictated by exercise requirements or practical lab exams. Discussion of the work schedule should be initiated with the instructor during the application interview
- Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Fall 2025 quarter
- Should be able to cleared to start on or before September 25
- Must be able to work for lab set-ups and take downs
- Must have taken BIOL185/L or 474/L with wet lab experience within last 3 years and passed with a grade of B or higher (or BIOL114L & 115L or BIOL302L or 306L with instructor permission) or been a previous TA2 for the courses in the last year
