Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care and health promotion services under the supervision of a physician. This role delivers high-quality patient-centered care including preventive services diagnosis treatment and chronic disease management. The Physician Assistant will work within a collaborative team-based clinical environment while upholding established clinical standards and supporting the organizations mission.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care including preventive services primary diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
-
Monitor and manage chronic conditions in collaboration with the supervising physician
-
Perform or order appropriate laboratory tests X-rays and other diagnostic studies
-
Coordinate consultations and referrals for services not available within the clinic
-
Serve as a preceptor for providers in training as needed
-
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
-
Complete timely accurate and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with clinic protocols
-
Conduct health education activities for individual patients and groups
-
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic performance activities
-
Comply with OSHA regulations and all clinic safety standards
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Qualifications
-
Active and unrestricted license to practice in the State of Oregon (required)
-
Current DEA registration and CPR certification (required)
-
Strong working knowledge of regulations policies protocols and clinical standards related to health center licensing and operations particularly within an FQHC environment
-
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team-based care model
-
Demonstrated commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice
-
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse patient and staff populations
-
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
-
Professional pleasant and patient-focused demeanor toward patients colleagues and leadership
-
Strong teamwork and communication skills
