A Day in the Life

The Test Technician will gain extensive knowledge of Hive Lab operations and the technical intricacies of setting up and maintaining lab environments. Troubleshoot and repair critical systems had become nonfunctional. Restore essential functions and systems ensuring the core infrastructure remains operational to support the Hive Labs evolving needs.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

IT and Device Configuration for Hive Lab:

• Troubleshoot and fix legacy code that had failed to function correctly. Restore the critical systems and functions necessary for the labs continued operations ensuring seamless support ongoing testing and research.

• Take on the responsibility of configuring a wide range of devices including PCs Macs iPhones and Android devices for use in the Hive Lab environment ensuring that all systems are optimized for specific technical requirements.

• Oversee the setup and configuration of devices across multiple platforms ensuring continuity of operations and supporting lab testing needs.

• Collaborate with team members to provide hands-on support for the deployment of IT infrastructure for key upcoming projects including the setup and configuration of systems for a new. Rack that will be critical for ongoing and future operations.

Mobile Devices and Sensors Management:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of over 150 mobile devices for the Mobile Apps team ensuring that all phones and related hardware are effectively shipped tracked and managed.

• Act as the primary point of contact for coordinating the borrowing and lending of devices across multiple teams ensuring smooth logistics and timely availability of resources.

• Maintain and update inventory of sensors facilitating procurement and tracking for the team including anticipating future needs and ensuring timely ordering to meet project deadlines.

International Shipping Coordination:

• Lead the logistics for shipping and handling packages for the entire software team ensuring all items including hardware and documentation are securely packaged and sent to global destinations with a special focus on international shipping to locations such as Ukraine and other overseas destinations.

• Coordinate all aspects of cross-border shipments including compliance with customs regulations tracking and managing time-sensitive deliveries.

• Does all the shipping and some receiving for the software organization without him all shipping to our vendors or remote users comes to a standstill until we can train other engineers to handle it themselves.

Support Role:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support including organizing and managing various IT and logistical tasks such as setting up new hires with necessary equipment and software as well as fulfilling specific IT requests in a timely manner.

Software Testing and Bug Bash Participation:

• Actively engaged in software testing processes gaining hands-on experience in identifying reporting and troubleshooting bugs.

• Contribute to Bug Bash collaborating with team members to identify system vulnerabilities and enhance the overall quality of software releases.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• 0 years of experience required.

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States) vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$40800.00 - $61200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
