Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Second Shift (1:00PM - 9:30PM) Machinist II based in Indianapolis IN. The Machinist II will perform machine setups tool changes and make adjustments as necessary.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $23hr. - $27/hr. plus $1/hr. shift differential. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Pay rate to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating instructions
  • Monitor and maintain equipment safely load stock and empty scrap hoppers with fork trucks
  • Document and inspect qualityof work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
  • Load setup automatic and transfer equipment in to presses
  • Use micrometers height gauges calipers and comparator

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive experience operating setups tool changes etc.
  • Understanding of shop math blueprint reading/comprehension and of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing(GD&T)
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English
