This individual in this role is responsible for developing new and exciting products for KnowBe4s customers alongside other engineers in a fast-paced agile development environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develops software using the KnowBe4 Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies
- Recommends solutions to engineering problems
- Assist other team members by providing technical direction
- Defines approaches and solutions to complex technical problems
- Helps to translate KnowBe4s strategic goals into operational plans
- Provides coordination across functional boundaries
- May act as team lead for sub-projects
- Utilizing the latest AWS cloud technologies to implement advanced AI-powered featuresfor KnowBe4s security awareness platform.
- Collaborating with internal engineering and product teams to gather requirements define functional specifications and ensure successful deployment to production.
- Tackling complex engineering challenges and proactively proposing innovative solutions.
- Developing high-quality software using KnowBe4s Agile Methodologies maintaining a focus on efficiency scalability and security.
- Demonstrating a willingness to continuously learn take ownership and adapt to newtechnologies and programming languages as needed to meet project requirements.
Requirements:
- BS or equivalent plus 8 years experience
- MS or equivalent plus 3 years experience
- Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years experience
- Training in secure coding practices (preferred)
- Ideal candidate would have 5 to 8 years of experience as a full stack engineer forenterprise-grade cloud-based SaaS products. 2 years of relevant experience indesigning ML/GenAI systems.
- Exposure to LLMs Transformers and a few technologies like Langchain LlamaindexPinecone Sagemaker Jumpstart Chatgpt AWS Bedrock and VertexAI.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing REST-based APIs with a strongunderstanding of best practices for authentication and authorization in production environments.
- Expert knowledge in at least one of the following technologies: Python Django/Flask/FastAPI or equivalent.
- Working knowledge in relational databases such as MySQL/Postgres and expertise in SQL.
- Experience in building scalable products leveraging AWS (or equivalent) backend technologies like EC2 S3 Lambda Eventbridge SNS SQS etc.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB Elasticsearch is preferred.
- Working knowledge in pandas numpy or equivalent data science/analysis libraries.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing continuous delivery and integration pipelines using tools like Docker GitLab Terraform and other automated deployment and testing tools.
- Understanding and experience in building software systems following Object Oriented
- Software design principles.
- Proven experience in writing clean unit-tested and secure code.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
