Job Title: Inventory RunnerDepartment: InventoryReports to: Inventory Manager Job Summary: The Runner is responsible for accurately counting inventory levels with the organizations warehouse or distribution center. This role involves conducting regular cycle counts identifying discrepancies and collaborating with Cycle Counters to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimal inventory management. Duties/Responsibilities:1. Cycle counting:- Conduct regular cycle of inventory items in designated areas of the warehouse or distribution center following established procedures and schedules. - Use inventory tracking tools or handheld scanners to record inventory counts accurately and efficiently. 2. Shipping Cycle Counting:- Material Handlers loading a truck cannot locate material will task a Runner to do an immediate cycle count to locate material so that it can be loaded on a truck. 3. Process Improvement: - Identify opportunities to streamline cycle counting processes improve efficiency and reduce errors. - Participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives focused on improving inventory accuracy and optimizing inventory management processes. 4. Compliance and Safety:- Ensure compliance with inventory control policies procedures and regulations including safety and security protocols. - Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and practices including proper handling of inventory items and equipment. - Report any safety hazards incidents or concerns to appropriate personnel and take corrective actions as needed. Competencies:- Ability to effectively communicate with management and personnel within the organization- Ability to read and understand packaging design specifications and bill of materials. - Ability to research and identify products. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Education and Experience:- High School diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements:- Ability to walk stand kneel lift carry push pull. - Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time. - Availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends holidays as needed.
