You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSenior Laboratory Assistant/Technical Officer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering(2 posts) (Ref: 532975) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Multiple openings are available with specialisation in the areas of Information Technology and Electronics Engineering. Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelors degree/Higher Hiploma in Information or Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or related disciplines with at least 2 years relevant post-qualification work experience in the areas of circuit/network design hardware maintenance and basic machinery operation. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English and computer literacy; be confident in working independently ready to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Those with a first-aid training certificate are desirable. Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Laboratory Assistant.
The appointees will provide comprehensive technical services for staff in both teaching and research activities; manage and ensure the safety of laboratories; purchase and repair equipment; prepare and maintain technical documentation; assist project students; and perform other duties as assigned.
