Job Description

What will be your daily pursuit

As the Housing Manager you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of employee housing facilities ensuring a safe clean and comfortable living environment for our team members. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high levels of team member satisfaction engagement and retention by addressing housing related needs and concerns promptly.

What will you do in this job

Housing Administration & Oversight

  • Apply housing standards policies and processes to be consistently applied across all Alaska properties.
  • Partner with onsite leads and managers to ensure housing operations are carried out effectively at each location.
  • Maintain oversight of occupancy records accommodation agreements and maintenance requests ensuring onsite leads are following proper protocols.

Communication & Support

  • Serve as the central escalation for onsite points of contact ensuring alignment and consistency in communication.
  • Support onsite points of contact in responding to team member housing inquiries questions and concerns escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between dispersed properties fostering best practice sharing and consistency in the housing experience.

Maintenance & Facilities Coordination

  • Set inspection standards and partner with onsite points of contact to ensure regular housing inspections are completed.
  • Monitor that maintenance issues are being logged tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with engineering/maintenance teams and external vendors when higher-level intervention is required.
  • Travel regularly between dispersed properties to provide oversight spot checks and on-the-ground support.

Compliance Policies & Budget Management

  • Ensure all Alaska properties comply with local housing regulations and company standards.
  • Provide clear policies and training to onsite leads ensuring consistent enforcement across locations.
  • Assist in developing the housing budget and monitoring housing-related expenses coaching onsite leads on cost management and efficiency opportunities.

Team Member Engagement & Community

  • Establish frameworks for onsite leads to implement housing events and initiatives that promote a sense of community and well-being.
  • Support onsite leads in organizing activities while ensuring alignment with Pursuits values.
  • Review Alaska engagement survey results and work with onsite leads to identify housing-related opportunities for improvement and celebrate successes.

What skills and experience do you need for this job

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of experience in property management housing administration or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of local housing regulations and best practices.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications and software.

What will your work environment be like

This position is a field-based position with roughly 75% of the time on-site at our housing properties across the Alaska Collection during the operating season.
