Mechanical Project Engineer
Location:Hartlepool County Durham

Were looking for aMechanical Project Engineerto lead and support a range of capital and revenue projects. Youll be instrumental in developing long-term engineering strategies implementing new technologies and ensuring compliance with industry standards. From feasibility studies to commissioning your work will span the full project lifecycle.
What youll be doing:
- Develop and deliver engineering projects aligned with site strategy.
- Lead safety studies including risk assessments HAZOP and FMEA.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC EN and BS standards.
- Support change management and documentation processes.
- Collaborate across departments and contribute to continuous improvement.
What youll need:
- HNC/HND with 7 years experience or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years in an industrial setting.
- Strong CAD skills (2D/3D modelling).
- Analytical mindset with good computing and statistical skills.
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
- Awareness of CDM regulations and project management techniques.
