Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic community-focused person who want to make a difference by connecting and supporting older people within the Indigo Shire towns of Beechworth Rutherglen Yackandandah & Tangambalanga.

About this Role

  • You will provide compassionate home-based care by building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home and stay connected to their community.
  • Individual care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.

Duties

  • Provide personal care to our clients including assistance with showering dressing grooming toileting and mobility.
  • Provide general home support and light housekeeping duties assistance with meal preparations and companionship.
  • Provide incidental transport to appointments shopping and social outings.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support is a desirable but not essential
  • Possess exceptional communication skills can-do attitude empathy for and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
  • Have patience and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
  • Be personable compassionate approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.
  • Be reliable responsive efficient confident and proactive.
  • Value and enjoy the company of older people.

Preferred Requirements

  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence and have access to a reliable car and comprehensive car insurance.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Test
  • Level 2 First Aid
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have a Right to Work in Australia.
