Job Description

Essential Responsibilities
- Will ensure projects meet approved plans specifications and building codes
- Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs and oversees incident investigations
- Reviews and updates construction schedules addresses delays and contributes to project schedules
- Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
- Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
- Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection procurement and negotiations
- Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
- Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff
Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent
- Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment
- Post-secondary education in Construction Engineering or a related discipline is an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents drawings specifications and current construction practices
- Effective Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Strong organizational and planning skills
Working Conditions
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting standing bending climbing lifting (up to 50 pounds) working at heights and in all types of weather conditions (rain snow heat etc.)
- This is a site position that will require travel 100% of the time. The assignment will start in the state of Ohio then move to different states
