Job Summary

  • $102253 per annum full-time equivalent up to 17% Superannuation
  • Part-Time 1 day per week
  • Fixed-term until 31 December 2026
  • Heidelberg/Hybrid Location

About The Role
The Florey Institute is seeking a compassionate and organised person with a background in allied health to provide communication support for young stroke survivors. This part-time role is ideal for someone from a clinical discipline particularly in speech pathology and a passion for working with young stroke survivors in supporting the needs of the Young Stroke Service (YSS).


What Youll Do

  • Provide tailored communication support to young stroke survivors
  • Conduct structured interviews (phone online or face-to-face)
  • Record and manage data using secure systems
  • Implement communication supports in alignment with the YSS Communication guidelines.
  • Assist clinical staff in developing communication strategies
  • Support YSS communication-focused activities and maintain accurate records


What You Bring
Essential:

Bachelors degree in an Allied Health or clinical discipline
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong organisational and data management abilities

Desirable:

Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent
Experience conducting qualitative interviews
Experience in interacting with people with lived experience of stroke
