What Youll Do
As a Special Education Teacher youll design and lead individualized programs that include academics daily living skills social development and vocational readiness. Youll work alongside a supportive team to help each student reach their fullest potential; whether thats preparing for an inclusive classroom developing independence or transitioning to adulthood.
You will:

Create engaging lessons that blend academics life skills and community readiness
Monitor and celebrate student progress through IEP goals
Partner closely with families staff and service providers
Inspire growth confidence and success in every student you teach

What Were Looking For

Bachelors Degree in Education (Masters preferred)
Valid NYS Special Education Certification (Grades 712 preferred)
2 years of teaching experience or advanced training in special education
A strong belief in the power of education to change lives
