Reporting to the Technical Producer you will create basic vMix programs to execute pre-tapes and live broadcasts. You will control video switching and audio levels simultaneously in vMix and co-ordinate streaming and encoding to multiple destinations.
You must understand and be able to use the full range of vMix features. You must be proficient at configuring system settings to meet specific project needs working solo or with remote presenters/crew.
You must communicate with the producer in a clear consistent manner as well as maintain professional interactions with team members and clients.
Work schedules depend on projects and may occasionally include weekends.
You may be asked to contribute to the technical development of production control rooms and studios.
It is important that you provide an updated resumé highlighting the qualifications and skills required for this position.
Job Requirements
A) Qualifications:
College diploma (DCS) in electronics or audiovisual production.
Three to five years experience related to the position including six months working with vMix.
Experience as a Switcher/Director with live virtual and streamed events.
B) Skills:
Familiarity with the full range of digital production devices.
Knowledge of vMix Software vMix Call and vMix Social.
Knowledge of the Blackmagic environment.
Ability to manage NDI workflows.
Knowledge of PTZ camera controls.
Ability to operate an audio console.
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks network switches network topology and network synoptic plans.
Knowledge of recording and streaming parameters.
Ability to independently assemble and disassemble production equipment.
Other qualifications:
Good knowledge of the Adobe environment.
Knowledge of the TriCaster production environment an asset.
Experience working on corporate productions an asset.
