Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary resource for initial education and training of customers on HDS (Hazardous Drug Solutions) portfolio in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings.
  • Provides follow-up support at the pharmacy level to support retention of existing business.
  • Visits key customer accounts focusing on retention and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and plays an active role through the sales process.
  • Contributes to the development of tools to enhance the clinical acumen of the sales team.

  • Participates in trade shows to promote the MDS (Medication Management Solutions) portfolio
  • Manages responsibilities within the allocated T&E expense budget
  • Adheres to all corporate and external policies including PharmaCode and AvaMed
  • Compensation will include a bonus structure based on individual and business performance

Process:

  • Optimally provides education on the HDS portfolio while demonstrating effective techniques for sterile compounding with hazardous drugs.
  • Works in concert with the Sales team to ensure the conversion management process is optimized throughout the sales cycle.
  • Supports the regional team in conversion management strategy sessions.
  • Shares best practices and experiences with the Platform RBMs and DNAs to continue to enhance programs and processes.
  • Supports training activities that help increase the clinical acumen in the Pharmacy for new hires as well as experienced sales consultants.
  • Thoroughly understands and can demonstrate effective use of approved clinical studies.
  • Ensures completion of vital documentation for customer complaints as needed.
  • Travels as necessary based on account assignments with a focus on designated areas of the country.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with all internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • CPhT Certification required.
  • BS degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years experience preparing hazardous drugs in a specialty pharmacy hospital pharmacy or compounding pharmacy.
  • Leadership or management experience preferred
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of USP 797 USP 800 and current safe handling guidelines.
  • Understands knowledge of the use of hazardous drugs across the health care setting with 3-5 years of experience in educating others.
  • Possesses basic digital literacy including Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Point and Outlook
  • Follows company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to travel up to 90% to service the regional area and national needs.
