Job Summary
ETL Testing
Shift: 2 to 11:30 PM - WFO
Location: HYD/BLR

Responsibilities
Work with Project Teams BA and business users to understand requirements and data mapping to develop effective test strategies test plans and test cases and propose technical solutions.
Perform testing of various BI reports and data sources on all levels: ingestion transformation and reporting which are internally and externally facing.
Perform backend system testing including but not limited to collecting and analyzing server logs understanding system behaviors data pipelines ETL and database data accuracy evaluation.
Troubleshoot isolate and document problems encountered during test cycle execution and write easy to reproduce bug reports
Perform functional and performance testing of various queries.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and/or delivery dates
Evaluate testing needs for each project and give realistic estimates for testing.
Work closely with Technology Leadership Development and Business Analysts/Project Management teams to define areas of testing and update on test status.
Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy compliance and completeness and to mitigate risks.
Serve as customer advocate throughout the development process including user acceptance and post-production support.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
. Experience in ETL/data migration tools like DBT Informatica Power Center AWS Lambda & EMRs Amazon S3 bucket.
Experience particularly in data warehouse testing complex data models BI reporting big data projects
Extensive exposure to Back-end/ETL testing with strong SQL skills
Hands-on experience with Cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
Experience working with databases like SSMS Oracle Workbench Snowflake.
Experience working with reporting tools such as Power BI Tableau Sigma
Experience analyzing stories acceptance criteria general requirements developing test plans test cases and preparing test data including evaluating the overall testability
Experience testing multiple test phases in medium to large projects.
Experience handling multiple concurrent priorities with limited oversight
Should have adequate experience and a clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing.
Nice to have
Knowledge of FiveTran Airflow Great Expectations is a PLUS.
Data automation experience using Great Expectations TabJolt DataBricks RightData etc. is a PLUS.
Experience working in food and transportation industry is a PLUS
