Job Summary

Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Tallahassee FL

Duration: 12 months

USC only

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to support the FDOT Infrastructure. The role involves managing maintaining and enhancing FDOTs IT infrastructure applications data and cloud services. This position requires handling tasks of medium to high complexity delivering daily operations support and providing technical leadership across multiple technology domains.

This is an onsite requirement

Key Responsibilities:

Support and expand FDOTs IT infrastructure.
Configure monitor and administer servers (Windows and Linux).
Ensure security availability and performance of systems and applications.
Implement network policies firewalls and security hardening.
Administer Microsoft 365 Microsoft Azure and Power Platform services.
Manage Azure DevOps projects git repositories and pipelines.
Provide technical recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve system/application issues; escalate to vendors when needed.
Assist and support developers and IT staff.
Participate in on-call rotations after-hours and weekend support.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge and administration of Microsoft Azure Windows Server Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform
Proficiency in Linux administration (Red Hat Ubuntu) including patching
Strong networking principles and cloud-based network architectures
Experience with DevOps git repositories and automation tools

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field - OR equivalent work experience.
