Job Description:
Lockheed Martins Missile and Fire Control business in Orlando FL is seeking a Systems Integration and Test (IT&E) Engineer with experience in writing test reports and conducting tests.
A highly motivated IT&E Engineer is needed to perform component qualification testing and generate test reports.
This position is going to have about 33% performing tests and about 66% writing reports so is looking for a candidate to have a mix of those two with an emphasis on report / technical writing.
Responsibilities Include:
Developing and executing Sub-System/Component Level qualification plans and Procedures to predetermined requirements.
Maintain detail-oriented logs of test events.
Reviewing requirements and analyze preexisting qualification plans and procedures to ensure compliance.
Performing predefined environmental stress screening (ESS) tests and Acceptance test procedures (ATP) on COTS Subsystem and System Level hardware.
Writing formal technical reports for requirements verification at the completion of qualification tests clearly showing compliance to test objectives and requirements.
Required Skills:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of Technical Writing experience.
Candidates must have at least 1 year of Mechanical Testing (such as shock and vibration) experience.
Candidates must have at least 1 year of Electrical Testing (primarily troubleshooting) experience.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Understanding how to utilize and prepare general test equipment including but not limited to Digital multimeters multi-channel scopes Power supplies RF Generators Data Acquisition Units (DAQ) etc.
Familiarity with environmental qualification testing and Electric Magnetic Interference (EMI) testing at component subsystem and system level as required.
Ability to understand analog signals review real time measurement data and make real time decisions.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to collect and catalog detailed test data and concisely present data to internal stake holders along with recommendations.
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with Sr. Management and Leadership.
Ability to adequately prepare and present test readiness reviews (TRRs) to a mixed audience and field questions with support.
Experience communicating and working with interdisciplinary teams.
Ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a can do proactive attitude.
