Overview
We are seeking a skilled full-stack Cloud Developer with strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to design develop deploy and maintain scalable cloud-based applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in cloud-native development DevOps and security with the ability to build robust solutions that support performance resilience and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and deploy applications on AWS services including EC2 S3 Lambda and IAM.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and related version control workflows.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform AWS CloudFormation or ARM templates.
- Develop and debug web applications using APIs (REST) and programming languages such as Python or C#.
- Design build and manage containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB DynamoDB).
- Implement security and compliance controls including encryption standards secrets management and frameworks (HIPAA GDPR SOC2).
- Collaborate with DevOps Security and Product teams to ensure applications are secure resilient and scalable.
- Monitor system performance and optimize for cost speed and reliability using cloud monitoring tools.
- Contribute to modernization of applications to become cloud-native.
- Provide documentation knowledge transfer and training materials to support team adoption and continuity.
Required Qualifications
- 3 -5 years of experience with AWS cloud platforms (EC2 S3 Lambda IAM).
- 3- 5 years of experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub version control workflows).
- 3 years of hands-on IaC experience (Terraform CloudFormation or ARM templates).
- 3- 5 years of experience building and debugging web applications with APIs using Python or C#.
- 3 years of experience with Docker Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- 3 -5 years of database experience with SQL and/or NoSQL solutions.
- 3- 5 years of experience with encryption standards secrets management and compliance frameworks (HIPAA GDPR SOC2).
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience migrating legacy systems to AWS or re-platforming workloads.
- Experience with cost optimization strategies (AWS Cost Explorer Trusted Advisor tagging).
- Experience automating security and compliance enforcement (AWS Config Security Hub custom Lambda policies).
- Experience setting up centralized logging (CloudWatch CloudTrail Splunk).
- Scripting proficiency (Bash PowerShell or equivalent).
- Experience with AI/ML services (e.g. SageMaker) or multi-cloud architectures.
Additional Information
- Location: Sacramento area
- Duration: Initial 12-month contract with option to extend up to 24 months.
- Work Schedule: Standard business hours Monday Friday.
