Job Summary
Seeking a Power BI Developer with strong expertise in database technologies to design develop and implement business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Power BI skills along with hands-on experience in database design development and optimization. This role involves working with large datasets ensuring data integrity and creating impactful dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
Requirements

Power BI Expertise:
o Proficient in Power BI Desktop Power BI Service and Power BI Mobile.
o Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M Language).
o Expertise in creating custom visuals slicers and drill-through reports.
o Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
o Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms like Azure Data Factory or AWS.
o Ability to work with APIs and other third-party tools for data integration.

Database Knowledge:
o Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server MySQL Oracle PostgreSQL).
o Proficient in writing complex SQL queries stored procedures and database scripts.
o Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g. star schema snowflake schema).
o Experience with indexing query tuning and database optimization techniques.
o ETL and Data Integration:
o Experience with ETL tools (e.g. SSIS Azure Data Factory Informatics).
o Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure AWS or GCP for data storage and processing.
o Ability to work with APIs JSON and flat files for data extraction.
o Other Tools & Technologies:
o Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics Data bricks or other big data platforms.
o Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis (optional but preferred).
o Advanced Excel skills including VBA (preferred).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science / related engineering field OR equivalent experience
In a related field
- 7 years of software development experience
- 5 years’ experience developing reports in SSIS SSRS SSAS and Power BI
- Experience with building data pipelines
- Possess the ability to understand business processes and design reports.
- Good written verbal communication skills
