Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Infrastructure Engineer - Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Automation VMware technologies and backup solutions. This role will focus on the optimization of virtualized systems infrastructure automation identity containerization cloud migrations and ensuring data integrity through advanced backup and disaster recovery tools. As an integral part of our IT team you will Design implement and manage VMware vSphere Suite Ansible Unix Systems and Backup sulutions to support mission-critical infrastructure design and build projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Virtualization: Build and configuration of vRealize Automation VMware NSX and VMware vSphere environments ensuring high availability and performance. Must have prior experience on vRealize Automation
- Backup & Recovery: NetBackup and Cohesity Backup system build and configuration ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Must have experience on Cohesity Backup Solutions.
- Automation: Automate system tasks and VM provisioning using Ansible VMware vRealize Automation
- Configuration Management: Automate configuration management using VMware Saltstack
- Security: Implement security best practices including system patches and user access management.
- Documentation : Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations backup processes and disaster recovery procedures.
- Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP DNS HTTP/HTTPS VPN DHCP).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience in on-premises to Cloud Migration and landing zone creation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of systems engineer experience.
- Expertise in VMware vSphere vRealize Automation.
- Experience with NetBackup Cohesity Backup or similar backup solutions.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux/Unix systems.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell Yaml or Python.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and cloud integrations (e.g. AWS Azure).
Preferred Qualifications:
- VMware certifications (e.g. VCP VCAP VCP-NV).
- Familiarity with Ansible Salstack vRA or similar automation tools.
- Certifications are preferred
