Functioning within the Health System s mission values objectives policies and procedures and under the general supervision of the medical director/physician the Polysomnographic Technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including sleep apnea testing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. Responsibilities include colleting analyzing and integration patient information in order to meet the patient-specific needs; determining final testing parameters in conjunction with the physician and established protocols; reviewing the patient s history and verifying the medical order(s); and providing age appropriate patient education. The Polysomnographic Technologist selects appropriate equipment and calibrates for testing applies electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards and performs routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface fitting and desensitization.
Requirement description : - 1 Years of Experience - Required
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification (RST or RPSGT) - Required
- BLS (AHA) - Required
- Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the state of Ohio preferred.
