TheElectrical Maintenance Skilled Workerperforms maintenance installation and repair work on electrical equipment systems and components. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of electrical technology.
This is a four-year Maryland state approved apprenticeship program. Successful candidates will complete the program with a Maryland apprentice will require four years of schooling (Fall and Spring semesters for 6 hours per week in the evenings) plus 2000 hours of on-the-job training. Hopkins pays for schooling books etc. There are assessments throughout and a State-administered exam at the end. Candidates may be eligible for step pay increases for each year of requirements that are fulfilled.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program which is approved/accepted by local or state government.
- At least more than 1 year work experience requires successful completion of 1 year (or current enrollment in) formal training in an approved electrical trade program at a vocational or technical school college or apprenticeship sponsor organization
- Fundamental/introductory knowledge of electrical techniques codes procedures and materials.
- Knowledge of safety rules procedures and practices including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards

Salary Range: Minimum$17.28/hour - Maximum$20.06/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
