Based in Dunedin the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Otago has a long-standing international reputation as a leader in education research and clinical practice. We focus on the assessment treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and on the promotion of health for people of all ages.

The role Te mahi
Applications are invited for a permanent full-time (0.8 to 1.0 FTE) Lecturer position within the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Otago.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team contributing to both teaching and research in one of New Zealands leading health sciences institutions.
In this role you will contribute to the research activities of the School including publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and securing external research funding. You will supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate research students and teach across the undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy programmes.
As a Lecturer you will also be responsible for coordinating and delivering course content developing engaging and effective teaching materials and assessing student performance while providing academic addition you will play an active role in curriculum development and innovation mentor early-career research staff and contribute to the service and administrative activities of the School.

To be successful in this role candidates must:
Be a Physiotherapist registered with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and holding a current Annual Practicing Certificate (essential).
Hold a doctoral degree.
Have a strong commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to equal opportunity.
You must be compliant with current Ministry of Health mandated requirements and the Childrens Act.
Knowledge and experience of the New Zealand Health system is preferred.

The appointment range for the role is $97377 to $114943 per annum.
