EOI Senior Verification Engineer

The role

As part of our Future Naval Systems and Autonomy group the Senior Verification Engineer will be responsible for leading the development planning and executing the Verification program for allocated projects relating to the Collins Class Submarines Integrated Ship Control Management and Monitoring System (ISCMMS). This includes development of the verification strategy Acceptance Test Procedures maintenance of the Requirements Verification Matrix (RVM) and ongoing management of the test program to support requirements sell-off to the customer.

The Senior Verification Engineer will work with the Systems Engineering and Verification Lead to ensure that all test resources and plans are scheduled to enable the project objectives to be achieved at the required standard in a timely manner

Further the successful candidate will:

• Provide definition of the testing and verification aspects of the Project Work Breakdown Structure and contribute to responsibility assignments in accordance with the Saab Global Management System (GMS).
• Lead the verification activities for the program including the identification monitoring and mitigation of technical risks associated with the verification activities.
• Provide input to the Systems Engineering and Verification Lead in the coordination of verification activities particularly the testing program including development of detailed V&V schedule identification of equipment and personnel requirements and resolving verification issues and problems.
• Own the development and maintenance of the projects RVM including the management of test results and supporting OQE.
• Own the develop of subsystem Test Acceptance Procedures and test reports and identify/review OEM test evidence for suitability for use by the project.
• Ensure the system baselines are sufficiently mature to enter any associated formal testing activity.

Flexible work arrangements such as 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in testing of software systems
• Experience in the maritime or submarines domain (Desired)
• Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an external customer organisation towards program strategic goals.
• Ability to spend large amounts of time conducting testing activities at our customers site at Osborne SA.

As a defence security clearance is required for this role applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance preferably to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes including ITAR.
