The position
The Accounting and Tax Manager is expected to lead our financial compliance tax reporting and internal control processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial integrity and compliance with both local and corporate standardswhile maintaining a strong internal control environment and keeping the House in Order at all times.
Other role expectations are as follows but is not limited to:
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports in full compliance with Philippine tax regulations local statutory requirements and corporate policies.
- Lead statutory reporting month-end closing activities and maintain internal controls while fostering continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular internal control checks and ensure readiness for audits while collaborating with internal teams and external partners like BIR and tax consultants.
- Participate in local and regional finance projects developing tax strategies and driving process improvements for optimization.
- Oversee local financial and tax audits and enhance the efficiency of offshored accounting processes managed by Global Shared Services.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting and/or tax preferably in a multinational or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations statutory reporting and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in SAP Excel and other financial tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
