Group Exercise Coordinator Part-Time (15-20 hours/week)
The Regional YMCA is seeking an energetic and experienced Group Exercise Coordinator to oversee support and grow our group fitness programs. This part-time role is a balance of teaching staff supervision and program management to ensure safe high-quality and inclusive fitness experiences for our members.
Qualified candidates will have experience teaching group fitness classes hold a current national certification (ACE NETA AFAA NASM or YMCA Group Exercise Instructor) and maintain CPR First Aid and AED certifications (or be willing to obtain). Strong communication and leadership skills are essential along with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities include creating and managing schedules recruiting and supervising instructors ensuring safety and training compliance and supporting professional development through class observations and feedback. The Coordinator will also monitor attendance assist with marketing maintain program systems and represent the Y at events. Staying up to date with fitness trends and bringing in innovative programs will be encouraged.
This role requires the ability to lead exercise activities safely demonstrate movements and handle physical demands such as repetitive motion and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available.
