About Potash

The Jansen project in Saskatchewan Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewans history Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.


Jansens construction will take place over several years with first production planned for mid-2027. Once fully ramped up Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. Work Location

This position will be based in Saskatoon. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance temporary accommodations home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.

About the Role

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of the Operational Readiness strategy for Jansen Stage 1 and future phases ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives.
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization with demonstratedexperience with project management systems & techniques
  • Facilitate cross-functional integration to define and capture critical processes KPIs and routines to support key business relationships with deliberate focus on end-to-end Value Driver Tree driven performance metrics and MOP board configurations.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational readiness efficiency.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform planning decisions and performance tracking
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent planning practices and process adoption

About You

  • Highly proficient in the principles and capabilities of the BHP Operating System.
  • Experience in Value Driver Tree / Business Process mapping and documentation is required.
  • Excellent communication facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Skilled in leading complex cross-functional initiatives in dynamic environments with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
