About the role

Were seeking an Actuarial Specialist to join our Actuarial Services Branch within the Performance Risk & Strategy Division. This role is central to delivering high-quality analysis and insights that inform strategic decision making and improve claims management across the TAC.

In this role youll contribute to core actuarial services including supporting external valuations developing internal projections and conducting ad-hoc investigations. Your ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be key to your success.

About the Team

Youll be joining a small and collaborative actuarial team. Were a group that thrives on mutual support shared learning and stepping in to help each other succeed. Whether its reviewing complex data shaping insights or solving analytical challenges we work together to deliver high-impact outcomes that support the TACs strategic direction.

What were looking for

Actuarial Experience

You have at least 3 years of experience in a technical actuarial or financial services role and youre confident working with actuarial models and large datasets. Youre proficient in programming languages such as SAS R or Python and youre confident using these tools to uncover insights and solve complex problems.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Youre skilled at stakeholder engagement and communication. You have the ability to tailor advice to suit a range of audiences and can translate technical findings into meaningful insights.

Strategic Thinking & Value Creation

Youre a strategic thinker and focus on creating value. Youre experienced in identifying risks trends and opportunities through data and can conduct cost-benefit and scenario analysis to support informed decision-making.
