Testing Coordinator PSATSAT and all State Tests

Testing Coordinator Part TimeThis position works with an administrator to ensure the smooth running of all standardized tests and State Tests for Blackstone Academy a grade 9-12 high school only charter. The major tests to coordinate include PSAT testing for all 11th graders in the fall School Day SAT testing for Seniors in the Falls School Day PSAT or SAT testing for grades 9 10 and 11 in the Spring and NGSA Science testing for grade 11 in May. Duties include:Attending monthly online testing prep seminars run by the State of Rhode IslandBecoming fluent in test set ups and platforms working with a team to ensure smooth digital testingWorking with Chromebook Coordinator to ensure that all students have access to suitable school owned Chromebooks for testingRunning sessions to ensure technology is in place prior to test dayWorking with administration to plan classrooms and proctorsCoordinating training of all proctorsWorking with SSD Coordinator and MLL Coordinator to ensure accommodations are in placeCollaborate with teachers running AP tests as needed. Conducting all make up sessionsWork with administrators to ensure 95% minimal attendance at State Testing and staying in constant communication to ensure makeups as supplies and snacksCreating backup plans as with State and or College Board as needed. Reviewing/evaluating testing process and making suggestions for position can be done remotely for much of the year but requires substantial in-person time during the months of October April and May. This role may be perfect for a retired or part time educator. Must be willing to learn technology platforms which are not difficult but take some patience to run. The idea candidate will be a good communicator with faculty staff and students and able to collaborate well with administrators. Our public charter high school is in its 23rd year and serves 350 students from three cities Central Falls Pawtucket and Providence RI who are admitted through a blind lottery. Our school is incredibly diverse and students are challenged to excel in our rigorous and supportive environment. Students leave Blackstone for traditional higher education as well as high paying jobs in the workforce. Our schools theme is community involvement and improvement and students must demonstrate their skills in leading change in their community before graduating.
