You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSSS has nearly 100 faculty members and more than 1700 undergraduates who major in the four degree programmes the School offers: Economics Psychology Public Policy and Global Affairs and Sociology. There are more than 180 graduate students in our PhD and MA programmes (by research) and MSc programmes in Applied Economics and Gerontology. The Schools holistic and rigorous education aims to prepare our students with analytical and critical capacities that can be applied in the classroom and future careers. Apart from being deeply engaged in their disciplinary pursuits our faculty members are also at the forefront of cutting-edge research between the social sciences and other disciplines.
The incumbent supports the Assistant Chair Internship Exchange Alumni & Communication in adopting a concerted approach and leveraging on the ecosystem of alumni and external relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Alumni Relations (For both UG and PG Graduates)
Develop and implement initiatives for students to cultivate alumni relations during their campus life
Develop and implement a marketing and communication plan to:
Build and strengthen alumni connections with fellow graduates and the university and School; and
Encourage participation and contribution from alumni towards our alma mater e.g. giving talks and inspire students.
Develop deliver and evaluate the SSS alumni engagement programmes in consultation with Assistant Chair Internship Exchange Alumni & Communication
Promote lifelong learning and encourage alumni to leverage on NTU Alumni Course Credits to sign up for CE courses.
External Relations
Planning and conducting industry outreach/ business development so as to nurture various opportunities such as internship consultation customised corporate programmes job placement for graduating students sponsorships and sign ups for CE courses.
Partnering with the University Advancement Office to foster meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists alumni business community partners corporations foundations and friends that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research that underpin a shared sustainable future for the University and the School.
Requirements:
Degree with at least 6 years of working experience in business development marketing outreach and engagement or relevant fields.
Comfortable to operate in a start up to conceptualise and establish new processes and programmes.
A team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong organisational skills with ability to multi-task.
Able to flexibly adjust and work in the evenings or weekends occasionally for engagement of alumni and stakeholders.
