Risk & Governance Specialist

We are looking for a proactive individual to join our team at Embla Medical (one of the Demant family companies) an international organization whose mission is to improve peoples mobility.

As a Risk & Governance Specialist you will support the implementation maintenance and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework with a particular focus on maintaining the ERM software platform. As a member of the global Internal Control & Risk team (Corporate Governance Office) you will work closely with the Risk & Governance Manager. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills along with a hands-on approach and interest in the areas of risk and governance.

What tasks are waiting for you

• Assist in the execution of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework regular risk identification assessment and monitoring processes

• Maintain and optimize the ERM software platform ensuring functionality and data quality

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify assess and monitor risks and track the implementation of mitigation actions

• Support the design and implementation of risk mitigation plans and internal controls working closely with Risk Owners

• Prepare risk reporting and dashboards for management and stakeholders

• Support stakeholder engagement including preparation of training materials risk workshops awareness sessions and communication initiatives

• Contribute to climate risk and double materiality assessments aligned with ESG regulations

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal policies and procedures in line with the companys governance framework

• Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices in risk and governance areas

• Hold a university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Law Finance Risk Business)

• Have initial experience in risk management internal control audit or other areas related to the corporate governance preferably within a multinational company

• Are highly proficient in spoken and written English

• Have good knowledge of MS Office (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook)

• Possess strong analytical and organizational skills

• Have good presentation and communication abilities

• Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach

• Are able to work independently while maintaining a high focus on quality

• Show interest in growing within the field of risk management

Nice to have:

• Experience with GRC / ERM software or knowledge of ERM frameworks (e.g. COSO ISO 31000)
