Staff Software Engineer Mobile application

Summary

Were seeking a seasoned Mobile Developer with deep expertise in both iOS and Android ecosystems to lead the development of cutting-edge mobile applications. Youll be instrumental in delivering seamless scalable and secure user experiences across platforms. This role will work closely with the verification and validation team to ensure the quality and reliability of ASP software products. This position reports to the Sr. Manager Software and Connectivity (ASP IDC).

Responsibilities

Under limited supervision general direction etc. and in accordance with all applicable government laws regulations and ASP policies procedures and guidelines this position: Architect design and develop advanced mobile applications for iOS and Android

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features
Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Maintain code quality organization and automation
Stay up-to-date with emerging mobile technologies and trends
Contribute to strategic decisions around mobile architecture and tooling
Identify and recommend opportunities for efficiency improvements in department processes.
Conduct static analysis code coverage analysis and other verification techniques to ensure high-quality software.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in computer engineering/science or other relevant technical experience is required.
10 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development
Proficiency in Swift Objective-C Kotlin and Java
Strong understanding of iOS SDK Android SDK and platform-specific design principles
Experience with RESTful APIs GraphQL and third-party libraries
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines unit testing and automated testing frameworks
Solid grasp of UI/UX standards performance optimization and security best practices
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git BitBucket)
Proven track record of publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play
Excellent problem-solving communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of cloud services (e.g. Firebase AWS Azure)
Familiarity with software configuration management tools defect tracking tools and peer review techniques.
Knowledge of defect management tools such as JIRA is required.
Familiarity to Agile methodology is preferred.
Has good verbal and written communication skills.
