The **Data Engineer** will play a key role in designing building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers analytics reporting and business insights across DIVIETO Ristorante Group. ## **Key Responsibilities**
* **Data Infrastructure & Architecture**
* Design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence and analytics.
* Implement ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes for structured and unstructured data.
* Manage and optimize cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or GCP).
* **Database Management**
* Develop and maintain relational and non-relational databases (SQL NoSQL).
* Monitor database performance implement indexing and troubleshoot issues.
* Ensure data integrity accuracy and security across systems.
* **Data Integration**
* Integrate data from various sources including POS systems CRM ERP and third-party applications.
* Automate workflows and data ingestion from APIs and external data providers.
* **Collaboration & Reporting**
* Work closely with Data Analysts and Business Intelligence teams to ensure data availability for dashboards and reporting tools.
* Provide technical support for data visualization platforms (Power BI Tableau or Looker).
* Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency through data.
* **Governance & Compliance**
* Implement best practices for data governance privacy and compliance (GDPR CCPA).
* Maintain proper documentation of data flows schemas and system processes.

## **Qualifications**
### **Required**
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Engineering or related field.
* Minimum **3 years of professional experience** as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
* Proficiency with **SQL Python or Scala** for data manipulation and processing.
* Hands-on experience with **ETL frameworks** and **data pipeline orchestration tools** (e.g. Airflow DBT Luigi).
* Strong knowledge of **cloud platforms** (AWS Redshift Azure Data Factory GCP BigQuery or similar).
* Experience working with **large datasets** and distributed systems.
* Understanding of **data warehousing concepts** and **data modeling**.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote collaborative team environment.
### **Preferred**
* Masters degree in Data Engineering Computer Science or related field.
* Experience in the **hospitality restaurant or retail industry**.
* Familiarity with BI tools such as **Power BI Tableau or Looker**.
* Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and advanced analytics.
