Summary

Research analyze prepare and manage all aspects of the Companys monthly quarterly and annual reporting requirements to Corporate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following other duties as assigned.

• Review and analyze monthly quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Responsible for reviewing contracts and determining the appropriate revenue recognition method and timing in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Analyze accounting standards for the proper accounting disclosure of technical accounting matters and prepare related whitepapers.
• Develop implement and review accounting policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain consistent internal controls across all SBUs.
• Work directly with the Companys external auditors
• Review monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Supervise the Waukegan and Armstrong Finance teams; working with staff in the completion of daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities including the management of receivables accounts payables and internal controls.
• Various other financial analysis activities as assigned.
• Responsible for implementing and complying with all ethical and legal compliance requirements.
• Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed.
• Working knowledge of ISO/9001/14000/13485 and AS9100/AS9145 processes.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation
• 3 years of experience working in public accounting/audit role
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of corporate accounting financial management
• Knowledge of budget preparation and analysis techniques
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel
• Management experience with the ability to train and develop high performing teams
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions
• Excellent leadership communication presentation and organizational skills are essential
• Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
• Assistance with Group special projects as applicable

The salary range specified is applicable to positions within the State of Illinois and reflects various factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include but are not limited to individual skill sets experience training licensure certifications and the specific needs of our business and organization. At Astronics CSC it is uncommon for new hires to receive an offer at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are made based on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate. The current estimated yearly salary range for this position is $120000to $188000per addition you will be eligible for our Quarterly Incentive compensation bonus.
