We are seeking Malayalam Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Malayalam a Dravidian language spoken in Kerala India is a priority South Asian language frequently required in immigration and asylum cases.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Malayalam English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers applicants and stakeholders.
Interpret accurately and impartially in immigration legal and administrative contexts.
Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
Participate in training compliance refreshers and QA reviews.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Malayalam and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration community legal healthcare or government preferred).
Knowledge of interpreter ethics confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
