Job Description: Data Solutions Engineer
Our client is a fast-growing technology company creating synthetic data for the largest companies in the world solving deep computer vision problems. Were looking for an AE with experience selling B2B SaaS to join our growing New York team. This is an amazing opportunity to join a rocket ship backed by top tier VCs and developing cutting-edge AI and Computer Vision technology.
The Data Solutions Engineer is the primary pre-sales technical expert with our client. This person will develop and own our solutions engineering processes and strategy from technical qualification to project design to hand-off to Customer Success. It is the perfect opportunity for someone with a technical background who wants to build systems develop their external-facing skills and remain close to technology.
In this role you will:
- Work alongside AEs to lead deep technical conversations with Tier 1 customers.
- Serve as the key product/engineering touchpoint in the pre-sales process providing technical expertise and leading the technical scoping/qualification efforts.
- Develop technical domain expertise in the areas of computer vision synthetic data and 3D graphics.
- Play an active role in the definition and direction of the product roadmap to fit customer needs .
- Ensure a smooth hand-off and transition to the post-sales customer success team to enable long-term customer growth.
- Develop documentation playbooks and processes for pre--sales solutions engineering .
- Become an evangelist and interact with prospects & customers at major events.
- Maintain the most up-to-date understanding of product roadmap capabilities and limitations.
For this role you must have:
- At least 4 years work experience including at least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Preference for experience at SaaS companies serving technical customers
- Experience in a relevant technical role such as software engineer solutions engineer technical product manager etc.
- Preference for candidates with experience in an AI-related field or company.
- Strong engineering background preferably in computer science mathematics or other quantitative fields.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to drive technical conversations with senior engineers and product leaders at Fortune 500 companies.
- Interest in developing documentation playbooks and scalable processes.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time in a post-COVID environment.
