Job Description:
CUSTOMER:
Ensure client needs are fully assessed and that referrals to other areas of TD are made smoothly and effectively
Negotiate and execute an annual branch business plan and review individual business plan from each Investment Advisor
Plan and document marketing and business development activities review and communicate results and adjust plan accordingly
Identify and develop relationships with TD Canada Trust TD Wealth Partners and external referral sources to build sales and market share
Manage the branch budget/expenditures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Fulfil annual Challenge Goals which include National and Branch specific goals. Challenge goals targets to be reviewed on an annual basis
Engage advisors and support staff in ongoing endeavour to provide a legendary Client Experience
Oversee / direct the negotiation and resolution of significant client issues
SHAREHOLDER:
Work closely with key business leaders to develop business plan ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TDs operating model to maximize efficiency effectiveness and scale
Plan and execute business development activities review and communicate results and adjust tactics accordingly
Execute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies
Manage overall budget revenue and expenditures meet business objectives while increasing efficiency and effectiveness
Proactively identify key business opportunities research and recommend enhancements / modifications develop strategies to achieve recommendations and work closely with team to execute and implement
Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies programs and practices related to own area of expertise
Protect the interests of the organization identify and manage risks and escalate non-standard high risk transactions / activities as necessary
Keep abreast of emerging issues trends and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
Maintain a culture of risk management and control supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
Ensure employees are knowledgeable; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct
EMPLOYEE TEAM:
Lead a highly qualified and collaborative team of Investment Management professionals.
Contribute to the development of business segment and/or enterprise functional strategic priorities within their operational area or field of specialty
Develop annual and/or long term plans for own area and influences plans well beyond area managed
Responsible for management of the overall team providing both leadership and guidance
Set targets and objectives for the team and deliver results
Grow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered
Lead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and provide regular input into employee assessments and development plans
Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; track monitor and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner
Manage employees in compliance with all human resources policies procedures and guidelines of conduct
Share knowledge information skills and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams
Support an environment where team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successes

BREADTH & DEPTH
Oversee and lead a large and/or highly complex and diverse reporting function for an area of significant risk complexity or scope while growing talent developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals support project / initiative success and achieve business results
Provide coaching mentorship and guidance to practitioners business executives within area of expertise
Manage and oversee the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practices

Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials with deep industry external / internal enterprise knowledge recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management / enterprise areas
Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.)
Set operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goals
Focus on longer-range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater)

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Undergraduate university degree
10 years of Sales Leadership experience
Registered with IIROC as a Registered Representative and Supervisor including but not limited to Option & Derivatives Supervisor Portfolio Manager
Life Insurance license (LLQP)
