Job Summary
The responsibilities for the Waste Disposal Technician with Regulated Waste Management Bio/Pharmaceutical include but are not limited to the following:
- Packages expired chemicals for shipment or disposal.
- Empties satellite containers into bulk containers and takes back to laboratory for reuse.
- Maintains chemical storage area to keep it clutter-free and free of fire hazards.
- Ships hazardous waste from the laboratory prior to the RCRA time limit for the facility.
- Tracks volume of waste generated for reporting to corporate and EPA.
- Prepares and tracks implementation of Waste Minimization Plan.
- Orders and maintains chemical inventory for the laboratory.
- Manages consignment room to keep all laboratory areas supplied.
- Provides assistance to other departments/areas as needed.
- Employee would start as a Technician and be expected to complete RCRA and DOT/IATA training and certification paid for by Eurofins within the first 90 days.
- Upon completion of training and certification contingent on good performance the employee will receive a commensurate pay increase.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies.
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Ability to work in Lancaster PA Monday - Friday 8a-4p
- Ability to complete RCRA and DOT/IATA training and certification paid for by Eurofins within the first 90 days.
Additional Information :
Working schedule will be Full-Time First Shift 8am-4pm M-F. Overtime may be required when necessary. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster PA are encouraged to apply.
