Job Summary
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Export Operations Specialist to join a dynamic logistics team in Wood Dale IL. This role is responsible for handling the end-to-end export process including documentation booking compliance and client coordination. The ideal candidate is a detail-driven hands-on logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate air and/or ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery
Prepare and audit all export documentation including HAWBs MAWBs SEDs and invoices
Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and international requirements
Communicate with carriers vendors and overseas agents to ensure timely and accurate shipments
Maintain and update shipment records in CargoWise
Provide proactive updates to customers and internal teams
Assist in resolving shipment issues or delays as needed
Requirements
Must-Haves:
Experience managing export documentation and compliance for air and/or ocean shipments
Solid working knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding
Proficiency in CargoWise (required)
Ability to book shipments generate accurate export documents and coordinate with carriers and vendors
Reliable detail-oriented and able to communicate clearly across teams and with clients
